Saras
Saras is replacing our existing assessment platform, XAMS, from the 1st September. From this date all exams, except Functional Skills, will be scheduled and sat in Saras.
Lots of useful information, such as user guides and FAQs, is available on the Saras hub.
The LockDown browser will need to be installed on any devices used to sit exams. Please go to the Saras hub for installers and information on compatible devices.
Existing XAMS centre users can log in to Saras via the below link with their existing XAMS username and password. This link will be available on the About e-testing page from the 1st September.

Whilst existing XAMS users can log in to Saras now, no exams can be scheduled* until the 1st September. Please continue to use XAMS for exams** up until the 31st August.
*this does not apply to centres involved in the soft launch for specific units
**Any learners registered in Parnassus (Linx2Online) between 5pm on Friday 21st August and 11:59pm on Monday 31st August will not be able to sit exams in XAMS, but will be able to sit exams in Saras from 1st September.
Due to the XAMS’s extended and open-ended date range for schedules, VTCT Skills are unable to move existing exam schedules over to Saras. Centres will need to create new schedules in Saras from the 1st September.
Leaners will log in to Saras via the below link (this link will be available via the 'Learners' menu option on VTCT website from the 1st September).
